Art & Architecture of Sathin
The art and architecture at Sathin Fort has been wonderfully preserved as it was 350 years ago. Beautifull exteriors with wonderfully carved sandstone balconies and embellished facades, separate Mardana (Gents quarters) and Janana (Ladies quarters), the Dari Khana (Audience Room) are worth mentioning. The fort also boasts of traditional 'Araish Paintings' dating back to the era of the Marwar Rulers. Traditionally done on plaster with vegetable dyes and finishing it with a high gloss.
